health & Wellness Fair
We had three very successful Health & Wellness fairs before the coronavirus Pandemic. We are resuming out annual Health & Wellness fair in May 2023. There will be many vendor and health groups.
Crisis Response
We were a leading organization in our community during the height of the coronavirus crisis. We educated our community about the pandemic, prevention methods and helped organize and participate in vaccination programs.
Community Health
In December 2022 we partnered with the Sierra Leone Community in Minnesota to provide winter packages containing coats, gloves, socks, scarves, food and many more items to over 50 senior residents of Brooklyn park Minnesota.
Senior outreach program
Our monthly Senior Outreach Program has served over 65 programs. We have worked with M Health Fairview to provide free flu shots to at least 50 seniors every year. We have worked with 65 seniors to help them make informed health decisions.
Community Health
For over three years we have partnered with M Health Fairview to provide free flu shots to over 150 members of our community.
Health Care support
We have provided financial support for the operation and building of three clinics in Sierra Leone.
Youth Health
The health of youth in out community is a crucial focus of SLNA Minnesota. Our focus is ensuring youth understanding and cope with mental and physical health challenges, drug addiction, cyber-harassment, bullying and violence.
We also focus on helping parents understand the unique challenges youths face in order to help them cope better with troubled youths and the challenges of adolescence.
